Agustin McCarthy Yoga

About Agustin McCarthy
The asana classes I offer are grounded in anatomy and are influenced by the range of movement and meditation traditions that I have studied, particularly Iyengar yoga and vipassana "insight" meditation.
Regardless of the focus or theme of a class, I strive to listen and respond skillfully to the bodies and minds of the students in the room, to guide them through a safe, disciplined yet lighthearted practice. My classes incorporate intelligent sequencing, attention to alignment, awareness of the breath and often laughter.
I invite my students to show up, to develop steadfastness and to train in being fully present with the moment. My goal is to leave my students feeling more open and spacious, grounded, yet with a lightness and freedom that comes from bringing together the body and the mind.
